In today’s environment, the relationship between the community and police adds tension and accountability. Being an officer is a remarkable position with serious responsibility. It requires a steady head, a warrior’s soul, and a big heart. That is a tough combination. So it takes a resilient mind every single day.

​ It is also known that law enforcement officers experience higher rates of negative health and lifestyle consequences than most professions. That is higher rates of stress, unhealthy relationships, depression, suicide, divorce, alcoholism, and addiction. Yet, many find their way to stable ground in work and home life.
